Book a Gift Certificate for any date in the next few months. We will confirm a tour date and time for your guests after they receive the Voucher Gift Certificate.

Segway Tour Departs at 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM November until March.
Segway Tour Departs 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM April until October.

For Segway Tour: All guests must be at least 12 years old AND weigh between 100 - 250 lbs. (45 - 113 kg.) No refunds if you do not meet these criteria.

From April until October 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM.

Tours depart from the rear parking lot at 757 Beach Street near the corner of Hyde Street. Located across Beach Street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turn around in Fisherman's Wharf. A Wells Fargo Bank ATM is at the entrance to our training area.

Guests should meet 15 minutes prior to departure. The tour and training will last around two and a half to three hours and include stops for refreshments and pictures. Tours are limited to nine riders. Reservations are required.

Return Details:
Tour concludes at the original departure point in Fisherman's Wharf.

Payment:
Gift Certificate payment in advance by major credit card; Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Card.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher
For every Gift certificate you will receive an e-mail with an E-Ticket Voucher. Please have the gift certificate recipient call the tour office 2 weeks prior to tour date to finalize a specific date and time for the tour. The recipient will present the Gift Certificate E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office.

Who can ride a Segway? Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?

Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why we offer 30 -45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with the most innovative transportation device of the new millennium! A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues.

All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. Rider must be able to operate the steering control with his or her left hand.

Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate.

The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds(46-113 kilos.) Helmets are provided and required.
We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian

Liability Agreement :

All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

Changes to a Gift Certificate Reservation and No Show Policy:

Please have the Gift certificate recipient call the tour office 2 weeks prior to tour date to finalize a specific date and time for the tour. Present the Gift Certificate E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the date and time of your tour. Gift Certificates are NOT refundable.

We have a limited amount of Segways. No Shows are charged in full. Tour reservation dates can be changed up to 72 hours prior to the tour date. No date or time changes within 72 hours of scheduled tour date. A signed liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.

Gift certificates are valid 1 year from date of purchase.

IMPORTANT Check your final confirmation for correct date and time:

It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.

Languages:

Tours are conducted in English.

Meals Souvenirs and Miscellaneous Costs:

Tour prices do not include Meals, Beverages, Admission Fees, Tolls or Souvenirs.

Tour Size, Routing and Weather:

We reserve the right to change the size or routing of the tour to meet demands for that specific day. San Francisco is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, light rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoon temperatures can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog or weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour.

Hotel pick up:

We do not offer Hotel Pick up service for our tours.
