Yosemite is one of the most beautiful National Parks in the world.
Yosemite Valley is located about 215 miles south east of San Francisco. Visitors should spend at least one night in order to see the incredible sights in and around the Yosemite Valley.
Bridalveil Falls
The Ahwahneechee called this place Pohono, "Sprit of the Puffing Wind." The wind swirls about the cliff, often lifting the falling water and blowing it from side to side in delicate free-fall. It is 62 story high.
Half Dome
Half Dome rises to an elevation of 8,842 feet. At 87 million years old, the type of granite making up the dome is the youngest plutonic rock in the valley. (Plutonic rock is formed beneath the earth's surface by intense heat, pressure, and slow cooling.)
Shuttle Bus
Free Shuttle Bus to take you within Yosemite Valley. It operates quite often. The map for Shuttle Bus route will be provide by our driver.
©2006 Cal Parlor CarRound Trip by bus from San Francisco, Oakland & Pleasanton.
Pick up from any downtown hotel in central San Francisco area between 6:15 and 6:45. Direct motor coach leaves San Francisco by 7:00 going through Livermore Valley and over Altamont Pass. With a short stop en route, arrival at Yosemite Park entrance is at about 12:00. After a brief Yosemite Sights tour up to Tunnel View and south side of Merced River in Yosemite Valley the tour drop off at Yosemite Lodge or The Ahwahnee Hotel is at about 1:45. Check in is at about 4:00 so they store your luggage and you have time to take the free shuttle in the valley and get familiar with the area.
You have reservations to take the Glacier Point Tour leaving Yosemite Lodge at 8:30 a.m. This takes about four hours and goes up to about 8,000 feet in elevation. When that tour is not operating or if the elevation bothers you the alternate is the 2-hour Yosemite Valley tour. If you stay two nights you can take the 8-hour Grand Tour (instead of Glacier Point) that includes Mariposa Grove of Big Trees and Glacier Point at an additional cost of about $30. (Please change your reservations at the Yosemite Lodge Tour desk on the day of arrival.)
The return trip (2nd or 3rd day)
Starts with pick up at The Ahwahnee Hotel at 3:15 and then from Yosemite Lodge at 3:45. A brief stop is made at about 6:00. Coming over the Altamont Pass we drive through Livermore Valley arriving San Francisco by 8:30. You are dropped off at the hotels from where you were picked up. There can be traffic delays or late departure - please do not expect to catch a flight at night. If you are going on to San Francisco International Airport it is best to take a shuttle or taxi from the first stop.
Tour price per person in U.S. Dollars includes room and taxes. Child rate applies up to age 17 sharing room with adult.

If you are staying overnight at YOSEMITE VIEW LODGE we issue tickets for YARTS bus between Yosemite Valley and El Portal. There is a change in transportation schedule, only one run each way.
Upon arrival at Yosemite Lodge your luggage will be stored by the bell staff. At 5:50 pm YARTS bus will take you to Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal. Make sure your luggage is with you. You should reach Yosemite View Lodge by 6:20 pm.
In the morning YARTS bus leaves Yosemite View Lodge at 8:45 am arriving at Yosemite Lodge by 9:40. On your departure day please take your luggage with you, again it will be stored by Yosemite Lodge bell staff until you meet us for the 3:45 departure to San Francisco. Please be there or you may have to take a very long circuitous bus connection or even spend the night in or near the Park!
Should you have any questions or concerns the time to ask and make decisions is before leaving San Francisco.
Along the way your driver/guide will stop at suitable rest areas and give you further information and updates as necessary. The waterfalls are full and during spring time the Park is really pretty and there are no crowds except during the holidays or weekends. Have a pleasant and enjoyable trip.
